MD Marine Insurance Ltd. required a software solution capable of processing policies of customers wishing to insure their watercraft(s).

Technologies Used:
MS Visual Studio 2008-2010 with Visual Basic (.Net), MySQL Enterprise database management system and Data Dynamics ActiveReports.

Results:
A custom, web-based software application was developed in order to enter, track, process, invoice and report on all client transactions related to their watercraft(s).

The application was deployed in a datacenter in Toronto by CSDi using two Dell rack servers that were also configured by CSDi. The servers host 2 virtual machines in a Highly Available Setup. This means that if a physical server is shutdown unintentionally, the virtual machine hosted on that server is automatically transferred to the other Dell server.

Client Need(s)/Problem(s):
The CECCE and CSDCEO Ontario school boards required a web-based system capable of tracking custom tailored education plans of students attending their schools. The system needed to be integrated with the school board's main system called "Trillium". This contains all student information including contact information and class schedules.

Technologies Used:
MS Visual Studio 2005 with Visual Basic (.Net), Oracle 10g database management system and SAP Crystal Reports.

Results:
A custom web-based software application was developed, integrated with Trillium and deployed in their environments. The application is currently maintained and supported by CSDi staff.

The AEFO needed a membership tracking system that would track specific member information. It also needed a web application integrated with SharePoint 2007 that members could access via an Internet connection to updates their information, contact other teachers, respond/create polls and share documents.

Results:
CSDi built and deployed a custom membership tracking system and integrated a member web application with this membership tracking system using a custom built data synchronization application.

Client Need(s)/Problem(s):
Public Safety of Canada needed an automated system that would capture, calculate, identify and profile different substances such as water, hair, tobacco and alcohol. The system would need to import the chemical composition of these substances from an ICP-MS device.

Technologies Used:
Delphi 2008, SQL Server, Quickreports.

Results:
A custom Windows based application directly integrated with an ICP-MS device was built and deployed. The system reads the chemical composition directly off the ICP-MS device and stores the information in its SQL Server database for analysis and reporting.

The manual process previously used by technicians to perform such calculations took 3 days. The SigNatuRe software application now performs this calculation (with even more variables) in less than 1 minute.
